MONTGOMERY, Alabama (September 2, 2010) – Gerald Dial, Republican nominee for the Alabama Senate in District 13, today received the endorsement of the Alabama Office of the National Federation of Independent Business. Rosemary Elebash, State Director of Alabama’s NFIB, made the announcement earlier today in Montgomery.
“To be endorsed by NFIB means you have shown an understanding of how important small businesses are to the overall economy of Alabama. Gerald Dial knows that a healthy economy is built upon a legislative philosophy of less regulation and red tape that eases the burdens on business owners and allows free enterprise to work,” Ms. Elebash said. “We are happy to lend our support to Gerald Dial for the Alabama Senate,” she added.
“This endorsement gives great credibility to our effort. For many years, NFIB has been in the trenches fighting for small businesses that are the backbone of our economy,” Mr. Dial said. “I am proud to receive the support of a group like NFIB, and I will be a voice for business in the state senate,” he went on to say.
Gerald Dial is a native of Delta, Alabama in Clay County. He is a businessman and a former teacher, coach and a veteran of the Alabama National Guard where he served for 38 years. Mr. Dial also served as executive director of the Alabama Rural Action Commission until resigning to seek the Senate seat for District 13. He is married to Faye Bonner Dial, a retired public school teacher and counselor. The Dials have a daughter, Melanie, and a son, Jason. Mr. and Mrs. Dial live in Lineville in Clay County.
